Since the launch of our "In the Cloud" service, we have had an amazing response from New Zealand companies looking to reduce infrastructure costs and to take advantage of the various hosted offerings from Microsoft Online Services. We have now completed a number of e-mail migration projects from both Microsoft Exchange and Google, to the Microsoft Hosted Exchange service, and all without any disruption to those clients or their user base.
The actual migration of mailboxes and user information is a straightforward process, aided by some simple migration tools provided by Microsoft, and in the case of G-Mail migration, a toolset from another Microsoft Gold Partner than was recommended to us by our Partner Account Manager. Such collaboration between partners is an added bonus to us, and our position within the programme has really helped to keep us ahead of the market. We've approached each of the migrations with a real focus on the individual client needs, and have followed our user-centric methodology, something that we have developed over the last 9 years, to apply the same client focused principles. As a result, we have users who have no idea that their mailbox now sits in a secure data centre and is no longer at risk on a server sitting in a cupboard in their office.
As well as Hosted Exchange, the Microsoft Online Services offering includes Office Communications Server, Live Meeting and SharePoint and we have also launched a microsite to support the "In the Cloud" campaign using the Windows Azure Platform. The Provoke offering has generated a real buzz in the market and a story was published in the 25th June 2010 edition of Reseller News covering our strategy in this space.
